Adam says it was an open secret in Hollywood that an actress's back injury on that film was all Friedkin's fault. Because of this, he says, people on the set of The Omen were wary of anything similar. Adam also thinks a powerful film has something going on behind it that bleeds into the film, and names Friedkin's lunacy as that thing on The Exorcist.

In their own words

  • Adam No. No. But the weird thing is is that it's also because of like with The Exorcist where we went through what a fucking nutcase William Friedkin was.

  • Adam Because apparently that was again, I think everyone who was on the set was kind of like, you're not going to do what they did on The Exorcist, are you? No, I genuinely, I think it was quite a I think it was like not not not a secret, but like a sort of open secret within Hollywood that it was like, well, you know, she got a back injury and like, you know, this happened and that happened and basically it was all William Friedkin's fault. Um.

    Ep 103 The Omen
  • Adam But I think it's that but again you know what they did I mean and again this is like we said with the exorcist. I think a powerful film has something going on behind it that bleeds into the film. In the exorcist it was the fact that William Friedkin's a fucking lunatic. And with this it's probably very much the same with Toby Hooper. But so all that stuff And said that you know they had bones with bits of meats and and everything else like that.

    Texas Chainsaw Massacre
  • Adam This is actually quite the reverse in that Richard Donner was actually, I mean, yeah, there's I mean the baboon thing is.
