• Lee Oh yeah. Yeah, I say, it's scary how many of his films we have actually covered. Considering he isn't a very well-known, you know, you'd think, oh yeah, there'll be a lot of John Carpenter and there'll be a lot of Um, yeah, but yeah, it's, it's surprising actually how frequently his name has come up over the last 100 episodes. Um, and always in stuff that's been solid, I don't think we've done any of his stuff that's been mediocre.

• Chris Yeah, well, so excellent start. and it, yeah, like I said, it gives you the ghost story. That's that's wonderful. Interesting that that was added on later. the the music, fantastic. I I think we've now seen enough John Carpenter that I'm getting well familiar with his his nice synth and sound effects that go really well together. It's it's certainly got like its own style or character, I suppose, and, yeah.

• Lee Yeah, pace and speed. But I honestly, I think after Big Trouble, I think this is my favourite Carpenter movie. I thoroughly enjoyed this every time and it's funny because I don't think about it a lot, and then every time I watch it, I'm like, why don't I watch this at least once a year. It's so good.

A part of the this is definitely someone part of the John Carpenter story but also just interesting as well, is the producer who's also the writer who also co-wrote with John Carpenter, Deborah Hill. She worked for no salary, but took a percentage. And again. It's a fucking smart move on this film. You know, it really is. And actually because he had because he had creative control, John Carpenter was was able to put John Carpenter's Halloween as the as the title. So you know, he knew about branding, he knew to keep his name would be up front permanently on this film.

• Adam But there's oddly enough, there are so many fucking references in this. That like are now they're references, but back then they were basically in-jokes from John Carpenter because it was all just related to people he knew. But all those people are now iconic. So if you put these names in your film now, people are just going to be like, well, that was fucking hack and I they just, you know, hack need sort of thing they just put in, like they were calling them after directors or whatever like that.
