Adam Good evening, everyone, and welcome to the Mos Eisley Happy Hour!
Lee Yeah.
Adam Yeah. Thank you, Cheers.
Adam And um, yes, tonight we are covering Return of the Jedi.
Adam My name is Adam, I am joined by Lee.
Lee Hello.
Adam Chris.
Chris Hello.
Adam And Wesley.
Unknown Hey, ho!
Adam Oh!
Adam The full-bodied Kermit.
Adam And um, it's official.
Adam And um, yes, we are, as as I say, we are here to cover, uh, 1983's Return of the Jedi.
Adam I think that obviously, you know, we've gone past the heights of Empire Strikes Back. I'm not sure that this is going to be, uh, not as easy to score. So, uh, certainly last time where it was 44, let's let's we not forget, 44 out of 40.
Adam That it scored.
Adam So, you know, so it's actually four better than its own polling mechanism, which is quite incredible.
Adam Um, so yes, um, and um,
Adam Yes, I mean, it's, I actually, this is the first one I ever saw at the cinema.
Unknown Hmm.
Adam Um, and I was five.
Unknown Oh.
Adam So, yeah, it's quite a, it's quite a memorable one.
Adam I also then had it on a really dubby pirate video.
Lee Yeah, that's where I first saw it.
Adam Yeah, so a lot of the, a lot of the bits like the music like in the throne room would make your feelings rattle. It was just so bassy.
Adam And I'm like.
Adam Um, which I can't help but feel added to the effect.
Unknown Yeah.
Lee See, for me, when I saw it on pirate, um, a relative of mine had already seen it at the cinema, so when it come to my, to watch it at the pirate, they lied to me. They said that, um, when the inevitable happens to Vader and he takes his mask off, uh, you see all this blood and all his face falls out and everything like that, and I didn't want to see that as a five-year-old child.
Lee So I turned away, so for many years I never saw what happened. I never saw Vader's true face.
Unknown Huh.
Chris So for me, I just remember this with this film being the thing when I realized that I totally didn't understand adults at all.
Chris Um, because the same as you guys, I remember my dad coming home from work with a pirate copy of it and going, it was like the middle of the week or whatever, and he was like, I've got Return of the Jedi. And I was so excited. He was like, we'll watch it at the weekend. And I was like, why is it in your hand and not in the machine right now? What do you mean we're waiting till the weekend?
Chris Yeah, and at that point I was like, do you know what, I'm I'm writing adults off. You're all idiots. I don't know what's wrong with any of you.
Adam So I had a funny one with this as well because this was the only one that I didn't have on tape for practically forever, possibly until, you know, some video release, might be 1997 one.
Adam But yeah, so this was like the weird one that I just, I was like, oh, I'm going to get to watch Return of the Jedi with my friends' house, because I'd seen Star Wars and I watched back loads. But it's like this was just, what happens in this one? You know, it's just so different somehow.
Adam Um, but yeah.
Adam It's that wrap up as well when you've you're waiting for that resolution.
