0:44LeeNo, so we are here to talk about a film based entirely in the snow.

0:49LeeUh, we're here to talk about 2010's Troll Hunter.

0:53AdamWooey!

0:53ChrisOh.

0:53LeeUh, for anyone who hasn't seen Troll Hunter, just to give you a very quick setup, uh, correct me if I get this wrong, because the trouble I had actually watching this movie.

1:07LeeI'll come to that later.

1:10LeeUm, yes, so, uh, a group of student filmmakers are documenting a group of bear hunters and end up on a bit of a side quest looking for, uh, someone who is poaching effectively, doing it without a license. It turns out that that's not what he's doing and he is, in fact, killing trolls. So they decide to switch style and follow him for the rest of the film.

1:35ChrisThat makes it sound like, like he's got a more exciting job in a way, you know, proper adventuring.

1:43AdamBecause that's the thing, he's, he's killing trolls basically as pest control on behalf of the Norwegian government.

1:50LeeAnd he's

1:50ChrisYou just given away the whole, the whole twist, which you find out very quickly.

1:55AdamYeah.

1:55ChrisBut it still works all the way through the film. Bureaucratic troll hunting.

2:02AdamYes.

2:02LeeYeah, yeah, it's great. And it's it's all delivered in found footage, so the sort of the title card at the beginning says that this footage was dropped off at someone's door and they've been unable to verify it, but effectively this is this is what's been handed over. Um,

2:18ChrisAnd the troll hunter isn't the worst bit, it's the filling in the the administrative forms that you have to do.

2:25AdamYes.

2:25LeeI did feel his pain with that bit.

2:28ChrisYeah.

2:29AdamOh, yeah.

2:29LeeNot only is he risking life and limb, he's then got to sit and fill out a stupid bureaucratic form at the end of it all.

2:36AdamYeah.

2:37AdamHe's got a file his report in triplicate.

2:39LeeAnd argue with his boss.

2:41AdamYeah.

2:42LeeUm, so Chris, having seen this for the first time, I'm assuming for this episode.

2:49ChrisNo, no, this was my second time.

2:51LeeOh, yes, you said you'd seen it before, you already did.

2:53ChrisYeah.

2:54ChrisAnd even like, I actually liked it even more in the sense that you totally know that it is Norwegian, the office with big trolls. It's like I'm not, I'm not at all trying to figure out any of that for the first, you know, whatever, 15, 20 minutes. It's like no, this is exactly what it is, perfect, you know.

3:15AdamYes.

3:15ChrisIt's just like, yeah. Enjoy it all.

3:17AdamAnd you can the on the sec on that second viewing, you can also enjoy the little touches where you're like, ah, that's paying off. There'll be something in there where you're like, and you know, as the film got as you watch it the first time, you you realize what's that, but it's lovely spotting those things once you know the full picture and everything.

3:40ChrisDefinitely.

3:40ChrisI also really like the way it just progresses in a just exactly as it should. It's like here's a troll, it's pretty scary, and then the next one and then the next one and they just keep getting bigger and it's like, yeah, that's you know, it's not, it's not a shock, but it just it just works out exactly as you'd like it to.

4:00AdamI think it's an interesting thing because um, it's a bit like around the same time you get What We Do in the Shadows. And there's there's this lovely little sort of there's this lovely little sort of sort of little subgenre of mockumentary horror comedies that sort of come out. And it's I mean, this is probably a bit more like well how Wellington Paranormal is.

4:26LeeYeah.

4:27AdamBut again, it's that sort of thing of, you know, it's it's, you know, essentially he works for the council, he ain't got the resources, he hasn't got the backup, and it's a shit job. That he's sick of and yeah, it's.

4:44AdamI think the the other thing that as well because I haven't I Troll Hunter was a film that I, when I first saw it, I really, really, excuse me, I really loved it. Watched it a couple of times. Obviously upgraded to Blu-ray some some long time ago.

5:02AdamBut when I dug it out, I realized I had never opened it.

5:06LeeOh.

5:07AdamSo I don't so it'd obviously been it's been a few years since I watched it.

5:13AdamAnd yeah, coming back to it and finding, no, this this is still funny. This is this still really works. And curiously enough, because it's not got the biggest budgets, the like the effects really fucking stand up.

5:29LeeThe massive troll at the end is just spectacular looking. It's it is so good. It's yeah.

5:38LeeIt it's an incredible low budget movie. It's yeah, just outstanding.

5:45ChrisSo I looked it up and it seems to be that I think it's the 11th best Norwegian film out of the top 100 on IMDb.

5:58ChrisUm, and that got me thinking, is it actually the best found footage film?

6:04ChrisLike, so what do what do both of you have as your top found footage films?

6:12AdamThis was a question this is exactly the same thing that Claire said. This was her first time viewing it and she was she really enjoyed it.

6:24ChrisAh, okay.

6:24AdamUh, but she was like, I think that's the best found footage film I've seen.

6:29AdamAnd I I know that sort of like, obviously, you you're meant to you're meant to love The Blair Witch, but I think this this pips The Blair Witch just because I think it's more engaging as a film to be honest.

6:44ChrisYeah, yeah.

6:44AdamThe Blair Witch was a sort of a a phenomenon.

6:47ChrisI think of its time it it did really well.

6:50AdamBut actually as a film within itself, it's just not, yeah.

6:54AdamWhereas this, I think, bears still.

6:57ChrisYeah.

6:57AdamYeah, repeated viewing and everything.

6:59AdamProbably it would be I think possibly The Borderlands pips it for me.

7:04AdamI'd love to do that one day.

7:12AdamThat's that I think, because again, that works on the basis of that's basically a a Vatican investigation into a miracle. Uh, but so it gives you the reason behind why have you filmed all this?

7:29ChrisOh, yeah.

7:29AdamMuch in the same way this is like, oh, they're documentary filmmakers.

7:33AdamWhereas there is that element where The Blair Witch where it's like, no, you'd have got the fuck out of this. You know, someone's gone missing and you've been in the woods for three fucking days. I'm not filming at this point.

7:45ChrisI'm panicking.

7:45AdamYeah.

7:45ChrisYeah.

7:46AdamYou know, I'm threatening. I'm I'm getting out of me pram and sort of begging for some fucking help, but I'm probably not going to document that. I think I'd have bigger issues on me mind.

7:59LeeUm, I think for me, it's possibly I really like Rec, but Yeah, I really enjoyed Downstream.

8:09AdamYeah.

8:09LeeI thought that was fantastic.

8:11LeeUm, oh sorry, Deadstream. Deadstream, I think it was called.

8:16AdamOh, Deadstream. Oh, sorry, yes.

8:19LeeUh, yeah, I I really enjoyed that. I thought that was really good fun. It was, yeah, it was kind of Rec meets The Evil Dead and just absolutely batshit. And yeah, I really enjoyed it.

8:34LeeBut again, it is it's that found footage horror comedy mix that again just came out working for me, really.

8:41AdamBecause I think I mean, I think effectively, I mean, like, even when we like, uh, when I saw The Backrooms and like, the first almost like the first 5, 10 minutes of it are all basically found footage.

8:56AdamAnd there is a part of me that's like, I don't know, if you'd have maybe if you'd have had the courage of convictions and just gone for the whole film like that.

9:05LeeYeah.

9:05AdamI don't know if it would have worked as it did and, you know, the film was, you know, the film was good as it was, but, you know, just that sort of at first I was thinking, oh, are we just going to do purely, you know, it'd been a long time since anyone had done like a completely found footage film.

9:23AdamI mean, probably with reason, I think that it's something that can only be stretched to a certain extent.

9:29ChrisAnd what what else have we watched? What have we covered?

9:32ChrisI was just trying to think what was Late Night with the Devil actually found footage, even though it doesn't kind of seem like it.

9:39AdamSimilar style.

9:40AdamIt's a similar thing, yeah.

9:42ChrisCuz it was almost like they recorded it. It wasn't I guess.

9:45AdamYeah, because it it's it's basically it's the broadcast plus the backstage goings on and it's presented as this is what happened.

9:53ChrisYeah.

9:53AdamMuch in the same way, I mean, What We Do in the Shadows, it's a professionally made documentary where the characters are aware that they are being documented.

10:06AdamAnd I think that but I still think that kind of falls into that same sort of category, I would think.

10:13LeeYeah.

10:14AdamUm, but I think they I mean, I that's the thing is I I really love I mean, obviously, you've got uh Hans like the actual troll hunter.

10:24AdamUm, but I really love the film crew who are with him as well because I think they're just sort of.

10:33AdamIt's they react very realistically to you know.

10:37LeeYeah.

10:37AdamAnd I think his sort of and again, it's like, well, why would this happen? You've got basically a pissed off employee.

10:48ChrisYeah.

10:48AdamSo it's like having a whistleblower or something like that, you know, he's just like, right, this opportunity's fallen in my lap.

10:55ChrisThat's that's what I really liked, right?

10:57ChrisIt wasn't, it's not even that he's like really trying hard to expose it. It's like, I'm so kind of bored of it all. I'm I'm still getting on with my job, cuz you just get on with your job, right? That's fine.

11:09AdamI've still got to get paid at the end of the month.

11:12ChrisBut it's like, well, I'm still going, I'm now going to make use of these that have come along. You just say like the opportunity, but he's like, he's not that enthusiastic about any of it. He's just like, look, you get on with that, you do that, do what I tell you, you know, and let's let's if you want to try and try and publish it, great, but I don't, you know.

11:28ChrisI have faith in nothing anymore.

11:31LeeYeah, it it really is. I I found all the characters in it so believable and so realistic and the I say, and even their interactions and everything just seemed so genuine.

11:44LeeIt's that's what sort of drew me in really and why I enjoyed it so much. It it gave it that it was that thing of something being so utterly unbelievable and crazy, but at the same time.

11:55LeeIt's showing it as as it would be kind of, you know.

12:00ChrisYeah, if it could happen, yeah.

12:02AdamIt's that is the the the best way of selling you on it is that, you know, well, if there's trolls, they would be a problem.

12:12AdamThey're essentially they're essentially a public health issue.

12:15AdamSo they would, you know, you have the equivalent of pest control.

12:21LeeYeah.

12:21AdamYou don't have like, it's not like crack military squadron or whatever like that.

12:27AdamIt's a guy in a van.

12:29ChrisMake sure you got a good big stock pile of tires and a few few Christians to send running off ahead of you.

12:36AdamYes, and that's the thing as well is I love I love the the lore that goes into.

12:41ChrisYeah.

12:42AdamIt's obviously Norway, you know, trolls are a big part of their folklore and a big part of their mythology.

12:52AdamAnd so they've brought in I I love it when it's a bit like when how they do it with um, the vampires in Ultraviolet. I like the way that they've put in a scientific I mean, it might essentially it's bollocks, but you put in like a scientific reasoning behind, oh, young trolls explode in sunlight, older trolls calcify in sunlight because of you know, because of how their veins are and, you know.

13:22ChrisAnd they get more heads as they get older, they don't actually do much, but.

13:26AdamIt brings in all the folklore and everything else like that and I think it's sort of and yeah, just the fact that it's they can smell Christian blood as well. That is just but not not Muslim blood.

13:40ChrisNo.

13:40AdamNo.

13:40AdamAnd that's because because again, I think the um, because you get like the um like you get all the distinct types of troll as well, which I.

13:53ChrisYeah.

13:54LeeYeah.

13:54AdamSo you've got and like you've got Mountain Kings, which is obviously like as in in the hall of the Mountain King.

14:00ChrisYeah.

14:00ChrisWhich they they do play, don't they? They play that song.

14:03AdamYeah, that is at the end. And I, my argument with that, or not my argument, my claim with that, I feel that this film is the only film that really should be able to use that piece of music.

14:19LeeYeah.

14:19AdamBecause it's it's by Greg, it's who's a Norwegian. It was composed as the soundtrack for uh Henrik Ibsen's play Peer Gynt, which is like this picaresque journey of this uh character who at one point it's possibly a dream sequence, but basically he's he meets this uh woman who tells him she's the daughter of the troll called the Mountain King. And then they go to the Great Hall, which is uh of of the king with goblins and gnomes and trolls having a massive feast. And the Mountain King offers Peer Gynt to become a troll if he marries the daughter. And it sort of spins out from there and there's a whole thing about it being um like sort of trolls in comparison to humanity and stuff like that about worthiness and stuff like that. But yeah, so that piece of music by a Norwegian, for a Norwegian's play about fucking trolls, which feature trolls in that particular sequence with that particular piece of music. I'm sorry, I think Troll Hunter has a fuck this should be called the Troll Hunter music, it shouldn't be called Alton Towers.

15:39LeeYeah, yeah.

15:39AdamYou know, with with with maybe a little offshoot because it's what uh it's what Peter Lorre keeps whistling in M.

15:47AdamAnd that is that we'll have to do that one day as well because I fucking love that film.

15:53AdamIt's so damn good.

15:54LeeActually, I've got I don't know if you remember Adam, there was a time uh when you, me, my brother Dean and our friend Drew were rehearsing around at Drew's just for a bit of a jam session and we ended up playing this through about five times, I think. We somehow fell into playing it and then once we started, we couldn't stop playing it because it was so much fun.

16:19AdamYes, we did.

16:19AdamOh, man, it's so much damn fun.

16:21AdamIt's it's fantastic. And it's a fantastic piece of music and again, it's so familiar and stuff like that and I think it's been, you know.

16:28AdamHe's been in apparently, I mean, I was actually when I was sort of reading because I was like, I'm having a bit of a I was having a bit of a deep dive over the sort of like cuz we obviously had a bit of a longer run up to the episode and everything else like that. And yeah, there was apparently it's the basis of the music to the theme tune to Inspector Gadget.

16:50AdamHe's based on it, and I was like.

16:53AdamYeah.

16:53AdamFucking is.

16:54AdamActually, and you can sort of see all, but like I say, all these sort of things, but I think that Troll Hunter is the one that's really got the, you know, everything, it's the real sort of it's the exact place to put it.

17:07LeeGot the right to use it.

17:07AdamUm, but yeah, I and I think that, yeah, the trolls are all distinctive.

17:13AdamI think the other thing that I found which is really fucking weird is that obviously a lot of the cast haven't done a lot.

17:22AdamUm, but the guy who plays Hans.

17:26ChrisHe's a comedian.

17:28AdamYeah, he's a stand-up comic.

17:32LeeOh, was he really?

17:32AdamYeah.

17:33ChrisOh, that's great.

17:34AdamIn Norway, he's sort of like, he's like a I suppose the best reading about him, I would say he's politically controversial in the right way.

17:44AdamI I he's politically outspoken, but pissing off the right people.

17:50LeeYeah.

17:50AdamYou know, you know, so and but he's also the voice of Manny the Mammoth in the Norwegian dub of Ice Age.

17:57ChrisOh, right.

17:57AdamSo you know, you know, famous famous there, but yeah, so he's a stand-up comic. The guy who plays um, oh, uh Finn Hågen, his boss, who is fucking brilliant as well, just the two. He's very believable. What's them two fucking arguing.

18:15ChrisYeah, he is very believable. Just watching them two arguing.

18:16AdamAnd like just for ages, but he is also a stand-up comedian and he he at one point had the world record for the longest stand-up set of like 38 hours, 7 minutes.

18:32ChrisThat's a long time.

18:34AdamYeah, and apparently apparently the record's been bested a couple of times since then.

18:39AdamUh since he said it in the sort of early.

18:42ChrisWere they were they really still being funny by the end of that?

18:45AdamI don't know and that's the thing is at that point, is that a stand-up gig or is that a siege?

18:50ChrisYeah.

18:51LeeIt's got to be getting a bit delusional.

18:53LeeI love stand-up, but I find laughing for a long time utterly exhausting, like after an hour and a half, I've had enough.

19:00ChrisThat's why both of those could be just deadpan for the entire time. Everyone else might be laughing and you did get you get some of the crowd would like come in, stay for an hour, they'd have to go, you get a new crowd coming in and he just he's still on the stage just being completely deadpan.

19:13AdamBut I think that um, yeah, but.

19:17AdamYeah, so and like a lot of the the the the camera crew aren't particularly sort of they haven't played a lot and I think again a bit like that thing with The Blair Witch where it was like some unknowns, for want of a better expression.

19:35AdamBut I think similarly with this, it just works so well.

19:39AdamAnd I'm kind of assuming that you've got those comedians in there because it's the improv side of it must come into it in places, I'm assuming.

19:50AdamBut I think but yeah, I don't think any I don't think anyone puts a foot wrong.

19:55AdamI don't think anyone stands out. It does genuinely feel like everyone in it feels ordinary for want of a better word.

20:03ChrisYeah.

20:03AdamYou know, there's no no one seems to be doing a turn, no one seems to be sort of like deliberately sort of you know, no one's over the top or anything else like that.

20:16LeeIt's that thing like you've said before, where everyone's on the same page. Everyone gets it and just because of that, it just meshes. As you say, nobody's yeah, nobody's trying to change the style or the pace of it that everyone has got the memo, everyone knows exactly what they're going for and it just it it works so, so well.

20:36AdamAnd I think sort of like I mean stuff stuff like the the bear tracks and just people getting struck where it's like, why is the why would a bear walk like that?

20:50AdamAnd and it's sort of it's just that sort of thing of again, when it's like we're back to it's that proper thing, you know, it's not it's not a conspiracy in the sort of X-Files sense of sort of, you know, people getting rubbed out with bullets to the head sort of like, you know, and and they're they're pretty shit at it.

21:14AdamAnd it's like, you know, well, we got a bear to dump in there, so it looks like it was a bear attack.

21:20AdamAnd it's like, yeah, but why have you got a Russian?

21:22AdamI don't know, you know, people's authority being questioned, but it just ends up as a just fuck off.

21:32LeeAnd I I've got to say, I that very last scene where they said the Norwegian Prime Minister zipped up and it's just that bloke's reaction when he did it and he just kind of looks at the camera and then looks it just made me absolutely roar.

21:50AdamAnd I'm I'm not entirely sure, because I'm assuming that they've because when he mentions trolls, it's when the camera's on the other guy.

22:01LeeYeah.

22:01AdamBut that is genuinely Norway's prime minister, so I don't know whether they've just dubbed him into like yeah, dropped him into the footage of the guy or their prime minister just said he'd do it.

22:16ChrisSo that's.

22:16AdamUm, but yeah, that's their actual prime minister of Norway, Jens Stoltenberg.

22:22LeeLove that.

22:22AdamAnd he was he's he was prime minister from 2000 to 2001 and then 2005 to 2013.

22:37ChrisI'll tell you when we're not going full politics here, but if Andy Burnham appears in a film like this, he's got my back in.

22:44AdamWell, again, when I was when I was trying to get an idea of this, because like I say, when I was trying to like I've got um Otto Jespersen who plays Hans.

22:53AdamAnd it was like, right.

22:54AdamI'm trying to because when they just say stand-up comedian, I mean that could be anything.

22:58AdamYou could be Dick Emery, you could be Bill Hicks.

23:01AdamIt doesn't you know, I think he's erring towards more that end of the spectrum if anything. I think he's sort of, you know, somewhat uh sort of Frankie Boyle or something like that, you know, where it's like, yeah, you're getting in trouble a lot, but you are saying the right sort of things and you you seem to be getting in trouble more because you're pissing powerful people off rather than anything else.

23:22AdamBut yeah, but reading about this guy, I think by the sounds of it, I think he's a bit sort of like Norway's Tony Blair. I think he was there sort of like new new left or centrist left sort of leader.

23:35AdamBut again, fuck me, Blair had turned up in anything at the drop of a hat, he did fucking Little Britain, he did, you know.

23:44AdamSo I think it might be a similar sort of thing.

23:47AdamBut yeah, but you're right, Chris, if Andy Burnham turns up in a film as good as this, you know, that's this is you know.

23:54AdamKeir Starmer wouldn't have done that.

23:56AdamAnd the only film I want to see Boris turn up in is in a fucking snuff film.

24:01LeeI was going to say Deadliest Game, but you know, we'll see.

24:29LeeUm, and I'm quite keen to because there's stuff in this that I haven't seen, so he did The Last Voyage of the Demeter, which I thought was a fantastic concept.

24:40AdamYes, I remember you saying it was because we were quite excited by the thing, but the actual film you weren't all that taken with, were you?

24:47LeeYeah, no, I I yeah, I didn't.

24:49LeeI mean, again, I think it's one of those it it was it was a very good concept and I liked it, but it didn't plan out it didn't play out quite as I'd wanted it to, really.

25:00LeeUm, but you know, that's fine. It's you know, it was something new and it was an attempt.

25:05LeeUm, and also he was in The Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.

25:10LeeUm, but with, you know, we which also, you know, Guillermo del Toro was involved in and stuff.

25:16LeeUh, and I thought that was awful.

25:18AdamHe was.

25:18LeeUm,

25:18AdamAh, fair enough.

25:19LeeBut I need to rewatch it because I was again, it was one of those I was very excited for it to come out. It wasn't something that I'd I didn't know any of the stories, I'd never read them as a kid, but I knew it was a massive thing in the state. So I was really excited for the film to come out. And then when it came out, I was like, feels like a really shit rip off of Goosebumps, but I don't know which came first or whatever.

25:42LeeSo I might give it another go now I'd now I've already made that opinion and I might watch it and go, well, it's not as bad as I'll remember because sometimes I.

25:50AdamOh, you never know.

25:51AdamBut I mean, I mean, obviously we are sort of a peek behind the well, not a peek behind the curtain, we're going to tell them at the end anyway.

26:00AdamBut obviously, what we're planning to cover next is he his um uh English language debut, uh The Autopsy of Jane Doe, because that's been on our radar for so long.

26:12LeeOh, yes.

26:12AdamAnd obviously, we did um, uh, we did Dead Snow, and then we did the English language debut of that director, which is uh Hansel and Gretel Witch Hunters.

26:25AdamUh, so we're doing a similar with I don't know what it is, I mean, we've decided in the middle of a fucking heatwave, let's let's just watch, you know, lots of snowy things, you know, I think I think that's what it is.

26:38AdamWe we we obviously just mentally have holidayed in Norway during this terrible heatwave.

26:42AdamSo, but I um, but apparently like and the look of the trolls is there's a Norwegian artist called Theodor Kittelsen.

26:53AdamAnd a Swedish illustrator called John Bauer who did a book who did like a series of like, from what I can gather, they're like a regular series of annuals that used that appeared in Sweden, which were called uh Among Gnomes and Trolls.

27:12AdamAnd if you look at the illustrations of both of both Theodor Kittelsen and John Bauer, you can see because it is that sort of like the the pronounced nose and the hairy, you know, so again.

27:55AdamIt's you could have just got away with this because it's funny within with within and of itself. But you've gone the extra mile, you've made sure that actually all this stuff stacks up and is true to where it is, you haven't gone outlandish with it.

28:12AdamAnd if anything, you're doing the sort of those little sort of scientific rationales.

28:17AdamBut the fact that he has to go to a vet and I know it's I know it's sort of like again um just that beautiful idea that um electricity like power cables.

28:34LeeYeah.

28:44AdamThat is the sort of thing that if I'd have thought about it, because I I, you know, I'm proud to say that I am lying to my son on a regular basis. I like to feel, you know, I want to fulfill a sort of Dave Allen sort of role, you know, I I want mythology and bullshit, you know, what's the point in telling him the truth, it's dull and horrid.

29:07AdamSo, you know, so I think but that feels like something you come up with when it's like if the kid, what are they? And it's like, oh, they're, you know, that's an electric fence to keep in T-Rexes or something.

29:19AdamI thought it was yeah, it just I I really like that.

29:22AdamAnd the um, so yeah, so I mean that was that's the weirdest bit is because obviously one of the trolls are called Tossalads, which you know, over here sounds, um, but the the giant ones called Jotnar, um, which is in Norse mythology, that's what the ice giants are called.

29:45LeeOh, right.

29:46AdamAnd it takes you a second and then you go, oh.

29:51LeeIt yeah, that did really make me laugh this time as well.

29:56LeeI think I'd kind of forgotten, as I say, so yeah, so a bit like you Adam, I when this first came out, I think I watched it.

30:03LeeI think I watched it and then you guys came over and we watched it again. And then I possibly didn't watch it again.

30:09AdamYeah, yeah.

30:09LeeAnd then, yeah, so when I tried to watch it for the episode, which is why we're recording half a week late.

30:15LeeI found a free streaming, so I couldn't find my copy. The site kept crashing every three minutes. And every time it crashed, I had to reload it and it'd make me watch three minutes of adverts again. So I watched it for an hour and a half to get through the first 40 minutes of the film. And I was like, you know what, I'm done with it.

30:32LeeAnd it really I was like, it really broke the film up and damaged it.

30:36LeeSo yeah, so when you brought over your Blu-ray and I watched it all in one sitting, I was like, oh, this is so much.

30:44LeeIt's yeah, watching it.

30:45AdamYeah, that's the thing.

30:45LeeThis is a film.

30:46Leeto watch annoyed.

30:47LeeIt doesn't work if you're annoyed.

30:48AdamExactly, that's what I was worried about as well, that's why I was like, sort of like, no, I'll I'll bring copy around because I just thought you can't try and watch this disjointed like that because it's not going to it's not going to happen.

31:00AdamAnd yeah, I think it's um, but no, I think it's been it's been worth the wait to cover it as well, because I just think yeah, it's.

31:08Adama tremendous film and again, as for as I remember it, it did it did quite well, you know, people were talking about it and stuff like that.

31:18AdamBut again, it's one of those ones that's just fallen a bit by the wayside.

31:21AdamAnd you're like, no, if you want to talk about mid-2000s horror classics.

31:27AdamOr, you know, okay, it's not I mean, there's some nice gore, it has to be said, you know, there's there is sort of moments and stuff like that.

31:37AdamBut I think just as a as a yeah, as a comedy comedy fantasy, comedy horror, you know, this is it's it's pretty fucking impeccable, so.

31:47LeeYeah, it definitely deserves a lot more love than I I feel it gets.

31:52LeeIt it does turn up on a lot of lists and stuff, but yeah, nowhere near as high as it should.

31:57LeeIt's it's just a great fun film.

31:59LeeAgain, another film like this that has been on and off of our list for about three years now and we've only just gotten around to finally yeah, getting around and having an excuse to pull the trigger on it.

32:11LeeSo uh, we should be doing that in a Fortnite's time.
