LeeGood evening and welcome to horror. I'm Lee.
ChrisI'm Chris.
AdamAnd I'm Adam.
LeeHey, and we are here for episode 149 of the Welcome to Horror podcast.
ChrisOh, no. Getting close.
Leeold.
ChrisYeah.
LeeUs, not the show. I didn't mean like that.
LeeSo we're here for our, our what we've been watching episode that we now do every third episode.
Leeso without further ado, let's get stuck straight in.
LeeThere will be spoilers, there will be swearing.
LeeI am drinking for one of the first times in the last eight months because I forgot we were podcasting.
LeeI've only had one beer, but I am the man who three weeks ago went to the pub and had to come home after four pints because he was smashed.
LeeSo,
Leethis could be fun.
ChrisCould get messy.
LeeOr embarrassing or who knows, we'll see.
Leeso,
LeeChris,
Leewhat have you been watching?
ChrisI'm gonna come straight in with a hard hitting.
ChrisIt is, it is ending, it's the second part of what I said last time, so that may give it away. Stranger Things season 4, volume 2. And I loved it.
LeeYes.
ChrisThey just, for me, they got it all right.
ChrisIt was so much fun, they enhanced the the horror aspect as we kind of mentioned before.
ChrisBut when, when they split it and I didn't realize that it was split into two volumes this series 4 is like, oh, they're going to manage to keep up with this final bit.
ChrisAnd yeah, absolutely. I just thought, so good.
Chrisit's got comedy, it's got darkness, it's got the right references, all around great fun.
LeeThey just never seem to miss a step with it.
LeeLike everything.
LeeThey do, you know, all the new characters that they introduce you immediately, they just fit in and they feel right.
LeeIt's, yeah.
LeeAnd when they have a dick, they're you you hate them.
ChrisYeah.
LeeThey just do a fantastic job.
LeeAnd and I know, you know, people say, oh, you know, it's written by algorithm or whatever because it's Netflix.
LeeBut, you know what, if it works and you get good stuff at the end of it, I've got no problem.
ChrisYeah, no.
ChrisThat's interesting. I wonder I I know that is said, but I wonder just how much the algorithm does.
ChrisBecause it seems, I think there's been a few misses lately, like surprising ones.
LeeOh, yeah, some of the stuff Netflix has put out has been not as good as some of the previous stuff.
AdamIsn't there that thing though with the algorithm that essentially it
Adamcan only fold back on itself eventually.
LeeYes, yeah, like a Spotify daily playlist where bands you've never listened to it, it suddenly thinks are one of your best bands because they keep making you listen to it.
ChrisYeah.
AdamYeah.
AdamSo I think, yeah, that might be where the miss is coming in.
Chris
AdamIs if if if I mean, if indeed they are writing to algorithms, I don't know.
Adamobviously, obviously, I'm not, I've not seen.
ChrisSo I was going to say, yeah, Stranger Things.
ChrisYou've not seen one episode of it.
AdamI mean, I am, I am fully aware. I will say for any, anyone who could even give remote effort of a shit.
Adamfor me, running up that hill will always be the show running scared with Christopher Ellison from the bill.
Adamgoing going on about his bins as in his sunglasses that had been.
Adamfound by a young girl in a murder It was bloody good that was.
AdamSorry, yeah.
AdamAnd the other thing, the guy who plays.
AdamVecna I've only seen it written down so I'm assuming I'm pronouncing it right.
ChrisYeah.
Adamhe was, he's been sort of doing the rounds like interviews and stuff like that, and I've seen a couple of clips and he does mention by name, Doug Bradley when he's talking about how he wanted to do the role.
Adamand.
ChrisYou got to fill me in there, who's Doug Bradley?
AdamDoug Bradley is Pinhead from Hellraiser.
ChrisOh, okay. Yeah.
AdamAnd I follow him on Instagram and he was just so chuffed.
LeeOh, really?
LeeOh bless him.
AdamYeah, he really was. He was like sort of like, you know, it's just like that, you know, he felt.
AdamHe said it felt really sort of nice and respectful and he was just really.
AdamSo, yeah, so cue us to Vecna.
ChrisYeah.
ChrisVery good.
LeeFantastic.
LeeAdam,
Leewhat have you been watching?
Adamwell, we had, we I thought I'd mention it. We did have an email, I've been meaning to mention it for a while from, Phillip, who had a couple of suggestions for us, one of which was Threads, which he.
AdamHe did he did say on there, but I think that might be a bit too bleak.
Adamand he also suggested my next, my first film, which is Mad God on Shutter.
ChrisOh.
AdamNow, Mad, I don't know have either of you seen this?
ChrisNo.
LeeNo.
AdamRight.
AdamIt's, it basically, it's been, it was made by Phil Tippett, who is the, it's a a stop motion film predominantly, like predominantly stop motion, animated film about a sort of, I don't know, a descent into hell almost.
Adamquite abstract, but like really amazingly done.
Adambut, Phil Tippett apparently has been making this for 30 years.
Adamand like on and off, it's like his sort of pet project he'd been doing, but he was the stop motion guy on the original Star Wars trilogy.
AdamI think he did Force Awakens as well.
AdamOh, it's because, yeah, he did the chess game.
Chris
AdamYou know the little monsters on the chess boards on the Millennium Falcon.
LeeOh, yeah.
AdamThat's him, and then from Empire Strikes Back.
AdamHe's did the At-Ats and the Ton-Tons and basically most of Hoth.
LeeOh.
AdamSo, and he did Temple of Doom, he did Robocop, he's, he did ED-209 for Robocop.
LeeAmazing.
AdamYou know, it's, it's you know, Starship Troopers, Willow.
Adamhe.
ChrisSome top stuff, yeah.
AdamYeah, and he became like, Spielberg and Lucas's go-to stop motion guy.
Chris
AdamAnd, yeah, apparently when he when he went to do Jurassic Park, he'd like started doing stop motion dinosaurs, and then they took him in and showed him the CGI ones.
AdamAnd he went, oh, right, okay, I suppose I'm out of a job then.
Adambut they, they sort of kept him on as an adviser for movement, because the guys had rendered the stuff really well, but they still needed someone to sort of, you know, get that aspect of it right.
AdamAnd, yeah, and then he so he basically then embraced CGI, so he can do stop motion, he can do CGI, and there's live action bits in there.
AdamAlex Cox, the director Alex Cox is in it for some weird reason, I don't know.
Adambut yeah, it's a, it's just incredible.
AdamIt's one of those things where the story behind it is, is genuinely interesting, you know, it's this passion project.
AdamAnd then when you see it, you're like, holy fuck, this is your passion project.
AdamYou're bonkers, mate.
AdamThis is.
AdamYou know, it's it's like, yeah, to have put the effort in and it's just, it's astounding, it really is.
AdamI can't, I I kind of can't describe it, it's just you have to experience it.
AdamBut it's very sort of a bit like, Jan Van Sanameca or Sanamaker.
AdamI'm not sure what.
Adamyeah, sort of like his kind of stuff, like very, surreal and yeah.
AdamAnyway, that's as far as I can go with that because.
AdamAs I say, I can't describe it, so I'm going to HP Lovecraft myself at this point.
AdamAnd describe it as indescribable but recommend it to watch.
LeeExcellent.
ChrisI'm just going to say Phillip actually emailed us back in 2020 as well.
ChrisI don't know if you remember.
ChrisHe gave us some great suggestions then and we actually did watch some of them.
ChrisCandyman we watched.
ChrisBut he also he had a few Exorcists two and three.
ChrisCarnival of Souls.
ChrisEyes without a face.
ChrisShivers.
ChrisOr even something like Ravenous and or maybe some J horror.
ChrisWe did.
LeeWe did.
ChrisYeah, maybe a horror comedy too, like Return of the Living Dead.
ChrisAnd Tucker and Dale versus Evil.
LeeLove that film.
AdamLee, Lee, is this, is this either me or you?
ChrisYeah.
AdamDoing like under a false pretending.
AdamBecause, you know, this that's that's a fucking good list.
AdamSo.
AdamOh, no, it must be me because you wouldn't suggest Threads.
AdamSo.
LeeYes, true.
LeeYeah.
ChrisYeah.
ChrisSo, yeah, so we've still got a few more to to get through.
AdamYeah, Return of the Living Dead is one I've been thinking of a lot.
Adam
LeeYeah, I keep, yeah, I keep thinking that needs to be bumped up the list as well.
LeeSo, we'll definitely have to do that.
AdamWe shall see.
ChrisSo what about yourself, Lee?
LeeSo for mine, mine is also a listener recommendation.
LeeSo it didn't make it, unfortunately, the wheel did not select it on our spin, but Leadbelt had asked us as his suggestion to see Wild Zero.
Adam
LeeAnd it was the only movie in that list that I'd never even heard of.
Leeso I tracked it down after about two days and managed to watch it.
LeeAnd what an absolutely fantastic I had to message him and say, yeah, thanks so much for letting me know about this.
LeeIt was wild.
LeeIt was so much fun, it really was.
AdamThis is the, what is it? Guitar Wolf?
LeeIt's the band Guitar Wolf.
Leeand basically a zombie outbreak happens, and there's a a lead guy who's kind of, he's a guitarist.
LeeAnd he wants to be in a band and he's kind of super cool.
LeeAnd it basically follows him, but he his story intersects the band Guitar Wolf.
Leeand they end up coming into it.
LeeBut yeah, so it's a a Japanese.
Leezombie, low budget movie featuring a band quite heavily.
Leeoh, and it it it's primarily comedy over horror.
LeeBut it's it gets that balance really, really well.
Leeyeah, and I just loved every minute of it.
LeeIt was such a good time.
LeeSo I'll definitely be going back to that film regularly, I think.
LeeCause it's.
ChrisExcellent.
LeeIt's one of those, you know, late night drunken, I want something stupid and that's going to make me laugh and put me in a good mood and just.
LeeYeah, and it it's that all day long.
LeeSo yeah, if you get a chance, find Wild Zero.
AdamMaybe, maybe we need to go,
AdamWell, you know, we we we're trying to sort of theme the months and things like that, you know, so and we know what we've got coming shortly and things like that.
AdamIs there something to be said for a punk, we'll just do a punk month.
Adamand do Return of the Living Dead and Wild Zero.
Chris
AdamCuz I've not seen it.
LeeAdam, make a note of that and we will definitely be doing that, because yeah, I would love an excuse to rewatch this film.
LeeAnd we were just saying we need to do Return of the Living Dead, and yeah, actually, they're perfect companion pieces, I'd say.
LeeSo yeah, that'd be a good month.
AdamBrilliant.
ChrisCool.
LeeFantastic. Excellent.
LeeSo yeah.
LeeThank you very much, Leadbelt for letting us know about that.
LeeChris, back to you, son.
ChrisSo, my next one is Everything Everywhere All at Once, which is not, not exactly horror.
ChrisBut it it does have close enough.
ChrisYeah, yeah.
ChrisIt's got, it's got everything in there.
ChrisEverything.
ChrisIt's, it's, yeah, no, like it's.
ChrisWhat was really surprising, it is kind of like non-stop craziness and yet somehow you can follow it and enjoy it and it doesn't feel like an overload.
ChrisLike they just somehow achieved that.
Chris
ChrisYeah, like it's like, you know, surely you should be slowing down at some point.
ChrisBut it kind of just doesn't.
Chrisand even the end when it's, it's all, you know, it starts to get nice, I guess.
Chrisinstead of more chaotic, and it's, it but it's still done at sort of a higher pace.
ChrisAnd it was just fascinating how they could manage to sort of achieve that.
ChrisIt's like such a skill of cinematography and storytelling.
Chris
ChrisYeah, I I think I've got to watch it again.
ChrisBut.
LeeI said the same.
LeeWe got to the end and I was like, I'm watching that again, so I need to really take it all in.
LeeBecause as you say, it feels nicely paced, it doesn't feel rush, but when you get to the end, you go, shit, a lot.
ChrisIt's a lot happened in there.
LeeA lot happened in there.
ChrisYeah.
AdamI think, I've, I've yet to see it and it.
ChrisYeah, I was I was trying to a little bit.
ChrisI wasn't quite sure.
AdamNo, thank you. I appreciate that.
AdamI'll definitely, I'll definitely have to watch it in the week.
AdamBut it's, yeah, because obviously I get the gist of it being someone traversing the multiverse in a way or experiencing the multiverse and yeah, if they've managed to do that coherently, then yeah, that is a, that is a real achievement.
AdamBecause it usually.
AdamThere are a lot of things that pretend to put a lot more thought into that that fuck it up really badly.
AdamSo, you know.
LeeIt's.
LeeYeah, I.
LeeI was going to say, I knew I was on to a winner with it when, I think three people whose opinions I really trust all said to me.
LeeIt's the best film I've seen, best film I've seen in a while.
LeeI think one of them said it was possibly the best film he'd seen this decade.
LeeAnd I was like, he's got extremely high standards.
LeeSo, yeah, well done, Claudio, you were not wrong.
LeeOh, but yes, so just to warn you, Adam.
LeeJust so because someone had warned me and I'm so glad they did because otherwise it would have bugged the shit out of me.
LeeThe main guy in it.
AdamYeah.
LeeYou know his voice.
ChrisOh, yeah.
LeeBut he doesn't look familiar.
ChrisYeah, that was so funny.
LeeThe reason for it it's data from the Goonies.
Leewho you wouldn't have seen on.
AdamOh.
LeeAnything apart from,
ChrisIndiana Jones.
LeeBut he sounds exactly the same, his voice hasn't changed.
ChrisYeah, it's really strange.
LeeHe's an adult now.
AdamHas his voice not broken?
LeeIt doesn't sound like it has.
ChrisBut he has got a great voice, it's very there's something so fun about him when he's talking.
LeeAnd the action scenes in that film blew me away because that's what he's been doing apparently.
LeeSomeone was saying he's been a a fight choreographer since the 80s up to now.
LeeAnd this is his first acting role again since.
LeeYeah, and you can totally see it because those fight scenes were just amazing and hilarious.
LeeIt just.
LeeAgain, all the boxes.
ChrisYeah, yeah, definitely.
ChrisSo, yeah, big thumbs up for that one.
LeeNice.
LeeAdam, grinning away there like Cheshire cat.
AdamDo you know what?
AdamI was just looking at myself.
AdamAnd that's terrible, isn't it?
ChrisYeah.
AdamBut, yeah.
Adamyeah, my next one is, literally, well, hot off the presses we recorded but probably everyone's seen it by the time this comes out, I don't know, is pray.
Adamwhich is the latest installment in the Predator franchise.
LeeOh, yes.
AdamAnd it's fucking great.
ChrisReally?
AdamYeah.
AdamIt's genuinely, it's it's my second favorite.
LeeWow.
AdamOn like based on one watch pretty much.
AdamAnd now, and don't get me wrong, I like Predator 2 because I think because it's fucking mental.
AdamSo I'm quite happy with that.
AdamAnd I know and the and I still think the reason that people shit on Predator 2 was because Arnie wasn't in it, because the expectation was if if there was a franchise, Arnie was the franchise.
Chris
AdamAnd, you know, it's like Terminator.
AdamThey even sound the same, so I think it's like, well, you know, it's not Arnie in it.
AdamAnd, yeah.
Adam
AdamBut this is set before those and it's in the.
Adamin the 1700s.
AdamAnd basically, it's the story of a girl from, a Comanche, from the Comanche Nation.
Adamsort of her sort of moving on to become a hunter, like sort of and sort of progressing in terms of like acceptance and so on and so forth.
AdamAnd then you shove a fucking predator in it.
ChrisYeah.
LeeWow.
AdamAnd it is just, it feels, it has the same, it feels the same as the first one in so much as it's just an exercise in tension.
ChrisYeah.
AdamYou know, it's just sort of like, it's, right, and how do you defeat this and watching and also being not necessarily being.
Adamas strong as the opponent, but as smart as the opponent.
Chris
AdamYou know, and and working things out and everything else like that.
AdamAnd it's, yeah, it's really good and
ChrisSo it's interesting, I'm I'm just wondering like there technology.
Chriswill be much older, so it's kind of interesting, that sounds like that'd be a difficult.
AdamBut so's the predators.
ChrisOh, okay.
AdamBecause it's kind of like, I I I'm assuming that it's meant to be because the predators are however many hundred years back.
ChrisYeah, okay.
AdamSo the one thing he doesn't have a plasma cannon, he doesn't have the shoulder gun thing.
ChrisYeah.
AdamSo it is a lot more, you know, it's it's more sort of darts, the blades that come out the arms and stuff like that.
AdamSo it's all that kind of, it's much more matched.
ChrisYeah, yeah.
AdamI mean, it's still fucking mad aerial grenades and shit like that, you know.
AdamBut it's still, but essentially it's like, yeah.
Adambut no.
AdamIt was just it was like a total surprise.
AdamBecause that and Sandman, the series of Sandman has started.
Adamwe has come out.
ChrisNeil Gaiman.
LeeYeah.
AdamYeah.
AdamI'll come, I'll come back to that, when I've finished it.
AdamBut at the moment, as speak I read Sandman back in the day and
AdamYeah, it's it's it's Sandman.
AdamIt just feels right in much in the same way, weirdly enough.
AdamEven though I don't think it went that way.
AdamBut much how Preacher seemed quite accurate to the like close to the comic or certainly initially.
AdamAnd,
AdamYeah, I think this is, this this as long as they don't fuck up badly somewhere along the line, I think this is going to be a good, this is going to be a good adaption.
Chris
AdamSo.
Adambut yeah, so Prey, yeah, just came out on.
AdamIt's I think it's on Disney Plus and Hulu.
Adamand that came out yesterday or Friday.
AdamAnd, yeah, like I say, it was just but again, it's one of those things where.
AdamYou have all these things where, you know, all the sort of Star Wars TV shows and everything where there's always this hype about, oh, they're doing a new Master Universe and then then it takes them fucking months to actually bring it to you and everything else like that.
AdamWhereas with this, I mean, okay, I'm not, I'm not.
AdamI don't follow #predator, you know, it's not sort of like something that I'm keeping that up to date with as a franchise or whatever like that.
AdamBut still, yeah, just for it to suddenly be like, oh, there's this film, oh, yeah, you watch it, oh, yeah, and it's the new credit film and it's probably the best one that you've done since the first one.
LeeYeah.
AdamYou know.
AdamIt's it's just kind of.
LeeIt's a great concept just dropping them against a different opponent in time.
LeeBecause in theory, you could just drop them in feudal Japan or, you know, the era of the the knights of the round table, like you could literally, there's endless amount of times.
LeeYou could just go, right, you've got a group of warriors, just drop some predators in and just see how they deal with it with everyone.
LeeAs you say, as long as they've retrospectively taken the Predators technology back, so they're always.
LeeThey're always better.
AdamBecause I mean, isn't that just that, what was that, wasn't there that fucking mad show that was like.
AdamSamurai versus Verhmacht soldier and Roman Centurion versus barbarian.
LeeI'm deadliest warrior, I think it was.
AdamYeah, that.
LeeI've watched far too much of that show.
Adam
LeeYeah.
LeeJust.
LeeAn embarrassing amount really.
LeeYeah, but.
LeeYeah, it's it's entertaining, it's nonsense but it's highly entertaining.
AdamYeah.
AdamBut I recommend, I recommend Prey really highly and Claire's not seen any of the others and she watched it and followed it.
Adamyeah, and it's so I think it passes the newbie test as well.
ChrisExcellent.
AdamBut there's loads of bits in there, well, not actually, no, there's a couple of nice touches in there where I'm like, oh, that's a reference back or that feels like this.
LeeOh.
AdamBut it's not like whackin you over the head with it, sort of, you know, just like every five minutes we find out that he's related to the fucking.
AdamYou know.
AdamTurns out that one one guy like there's a French bear trapper and he was actually related to one of the gang members in Predator 2.
LeeNice.
AdamBy adoption and accident of birth.
LeeYes.
LeeYeah.
LeeNice.
Lee
LeeAdam.
LeeWhat did you watch next?
AdamI think I well, I'm going to go with.
Adamit was something that I heard with my ear holes, which is the sitcom Damned Andrew.
AdamWhich is, the comedian Andrew O'Neill's.
Chris
Adamsitcom written and co-written with Tom Deville, which is a name you may know, but he wrote.
AdamDo you remember Urban Gothic?
LeeYes.
AdamThe TV series, it was like an anthology series where I would actually like, I'm thinking, it sort of putting in my head to show Chris a couple of episodes of that.
AdamBecause there are a couple of stunners in there, you know, genuinely really, really good.
AdamAs well as being a pretty high level show, budget not withstanding, but you know, it was some good ideas and stuff.
Adam
AdamBut yeah, and it's basically, the story of Andrew going through their day-to-day life.
AdamBut having accidentally opened a portal to hell and contaminating the entire of London and a bit of Leeds with demons.
Chris
AdamAnd.
AdamBut it's the same sort of thing of it has that sort of like mighty Boosh feeling of the mundane with the very strange.
ChrisYeah.
AdamBecause because obviously it's London, so everyone's dealing with it as Londoners, which is, well.
AdamYou know, if well, if there's a demon covering the central line.
AdamWell, if I take the northern and then go.
LeeFire.
Adamfire.
AdamSo it's just, yeah, it's just about sort of like them coping with day-to-day life.
AdamBut also all the madness of the demons involved and everything.
AdamAnd obviously Andrew's sort of ridiculously.
Adamfunny anyway, but also but also and there's plenty of like metal references in there.
AdamAnd, occult and a lot of the occultism obviously because it's.
Adaman an occult sitcom essentially.
Adam
AdamBut yeah, so you've got, and there's like Toby Hadoke on there and Sanjeev Kohli and, like a lot of other comedians.
AdamBut, and this is one of the key things.
AdamIt's narrated by Alan Moore.
LeeNice.
AdamAnd it's so, yeah, just everyone starts off with Alann just talking about non-binary comedian Andrew O'Neill.
AdamOpened a portal in their living room.
AdamAnd,
AdamYeah, it's but it's just genuinely piss funny.
AdamI, yeah, just right.
LeeWhat was it called, sorry?
AdamIt's called Damned Andrew.
AdamNow, there was I think there was only four episodes, it was on Radio 4 but it's on the BBC Sounds app, I think for like at least a year on Iplayer.
AdamCool.
Adam
AdamOn Iplayer.
AdamSo, yeah, it's well worth a listen and also just in the hopes that if enough people listen to it, they might do another series.
AdamBecause.
AdamYeah, I just.
AdamYeah, I just think.
AdamThey they did it great, especially there's a part towards the end where.
Adamas part of a mental journey through a demon's mind, they resurrect the Astoria.
LeeOh, nice.
AdamWhere it's meant to be the demon was trying to give Andrew places that they felt comfortable in.
AdamSo it was, so it's like, what's this? It's like sticky floors and.
AdamHang on.
AdamThis is the Astoria.
LeeOh.
ChrisExcellent.
AdamSo yeah, definitely worth if you've enjoyed his.
AdamIf you enjoy his standup and stuff, definitely.
ChrisSounds great.
AdamYeah.
LeeYeah, massive fan of his stand-up stuff, so I'll definitely, yeah.
LeeDefinitely be checking that out.
Leemy final one, I'm literally going to do a 30 second job.
LeeBecause, we've got to announce our 150th episode.
Leeand we're down to five minute warning.
LeeSo.
LeeI, again, back to Netflix.
Leejust finished the last season and it is the last season, of Umbrella Academy.
Adam
Leewhich I've thoroughly enjoyed and I didn't realize just how bad shit it was until we watched the catch up of the previous season.
LeeAnd you when they just do it in like a 10 minute run down of what you've been watching, you go, yeah, that's mental.
LeeI just.
Leebut I particularly wanted to mention it because, Aidan Gallagher, who plays Five.
Leeis just, his performance, so his character is a teenage boy, I think he's 16 or 17, but because he's been lost in time, he's been living for 50 years.
LeeSo it's a teenage actor playing a very wise, older, middle-aged man in a child's body.
LeeAnd he does it exceptionally well.
Chris
Leeyeah, and I just, yeah, I just can't get over that.
LeeSo I just wanted to mention it.
LeeBut.
LeeWe are running out of time, so we shall jump in.
LeeSo episode 150 is our next next episode.
Leewe're hoping this is going to be entertaining.
Leebut we don't know.
LeeYou might decide we're all frauds after it.
LeeOr you might find it boring, but you know, I we we shall see how it goes.
LeeSo for episode 150.
LeeWe are going to go back and play a board game that we used to play many moons ago before we were podcasting, myself and Adam with Lady Jennifer and previous guest Dean, it became a bit of a weekly ritual for six months, eight months every weekend, we'd get together, we'd have a catch up for an hour and then we would play the 2002 board game called Goth.
ChrisVery good.
Lee
LeeIt's a board game in which you have to answer questions on horror related topics.
Leein order to earn gravestones to fill up your grave plot, and the first one to 13 stones is the winner.
AdamI think.
Lee
AdamI think I've surpassed that.
LeeYeah, it got.
AdamI've passed 13 star.
Leeyeah.
LeeAnd I say and we really enjoyed it and played it for a long, and we haven't played it now in probably, I'd say conservatively, 15 years since we last had a game.
LeeSo we have dug it out.
LeeAnd we're going to dust it off and give it a go, and see how Chris fares with all things that he's been learning.
LeeIt isn't just horror movies, it's horror movies, literature, serial killers, unusual deaths.
AdamMusic.
LeeMusic.
Lee
LeeBut yeah, all all kind of horror-based.
AdamEverything.
LeeAnd it's a really good it's good fun.
LeeIt's got, you know, other squares where you can steal other people's gravestones and your full moon squares and all that.
LeeBut we will be joined, so Lady Jennifer.
Leewill be joining us, she will be our Eddie from Stranger Things for the night.
LeeBecause she will be the game master.
ChrisOh.
Leeand we'll be doing all of the dice throwing and counter moving and we're all going to do it over zoom.
LeeSo.
LeeThat is the plan.
ChrisIt's going to work perfectly.
LeeYeah.
LeeI say, if anyone's interested and isn't the same stuff as us, if you can track a copy of this board game down, it's so worth doing, because as I say, Jennifer bought it just because it was called Goth and thought it'd be funny and we got absolutely obsessed with it for quite a long time.
LeeSo,
LeeYeah, if you can track a copy down, do.
Leewe what we'll try and do is we'll try and leave a little gap between the questions and the answers in case people want to play at home and just make a, you know, give you a 10 second thinking time or whatever.
